    Track and Field Places 39 on Academic All-Conference List

    Paige Blackburn, Katie Carroll and Kimber Shealy claimed their fourth straight academic all-MW honors.

    FRESHMAN (2012): Competed in the mile during four indoor meets...recorded a career-best time of 4:17.81 (adjusted for altitude) to place second at the Air Force Invitational...also earned a top-10 finish at the Air Force Blue-Silver Open...competed in the 800-meter run at the Air Force Team Challenge (2:04.02a)...participated in the 1500-meter run during four outdoor meets...posted a career-best time of 3:57.64 at the Beach Invitational...earned two top-five finishes at that distance...ran the 800-meter run at the Colorado Invitational (1:57.76a)...ran a leg of the distance medley relay that finished third (10:34.70) at the Air Force Relays...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Esperanza High School...earned the team's MVP award...also named Most Inspirational...all-CIF and all-state selection...varsity letterwinner...also competed on the swim team...varsity letterwinner...Straight A's...named Distinguished Graduate.
