    Morgan Malone Named Air Force Athlete of the Week

    The junior set a new Academy record in the 200-meter dash at the AF Team Challenge.

    SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2012-13: Recorded the second-fastest times in Academy history in the indoor and outdoor 200-meter dash, as well 100-meter dash...clocked a career-best, Sophomore Class Record time of 24.53 in the 200-meter dash at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships...also recorded a career-best Sophomore Class Record of 12.21 in the 100-meter dash at that meet...those two times are ranked second on the program's all-time list...also ran on the 4x100-meter relay that clocked an Academy record time of 47.29 at the conference meet...also participated on 4x100 teams that won the Air Force Twilight Open and Jerry Quiller Classic...won the 200-meter dash and broke the program's 32-year-old Sophomore Class Record (then, 12.30) in the 100-meter dash at the Air Force Twilight Open...claimed the Air Force Athlete of the Week award following that meet...picked up a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash at the Jerry Quiller Classic and as a member of the 4x200-meter relay and distance medley relay teams that won the Air Force Relays...during the indoor season, clocked the second-fastest 200-meter time in Academy history with a 25.13 at the Air Force Team Challenge...also recorded a career-best 60-meter time of 7.83 at that meet...that time is ranked eighth on the program's all-time list...competed on the 4x400-meter relay team that finished seventh at the MW Indoor Championships with the second-fastest time in Academy history (3:50.04)...earned "Standout" distinction from the team on four occasions.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2011-12: Recorded the third-best indoor 200-meter dash time in Academy history and the sixth-fastest outdoor time...recorded a time of 25.51 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...also ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that clocked the second-fastest time in program history (3:40.76) at the conference meet...competed in the 60-meter dash during four competitions...clocked a career-best time of 7.97 at the Air Force Invitational...recorded the Falcons' fastest 300-meter time (42.94) at the Air Force Blue-Silver Open...also competed in the 55-meter dash at the Robert Shine Invitational, posting a time of 7.52...posted a career-best outdoor time of 25.43 to place third at the Front Range Classic...also clocked a personal-best 100-meter time of 12.59 at that meet...ran a leg of the 4x100-meter relay that finished sixth at the MW Outdoor Championships in 50.78...also a member of the team that took second at the Air Force Relays in 48.94...ran the second leg of the 1600-meter sprint relay (4:15.65) that won the Air Force Relays.
