    HIGH SCHOOL: Cibola High School...three-year letterman for the track team...all-city hurdler...ran the second-fastest 300-meter hurdles time in the 5A Division...member of the 1600-meter relay team that won the 5A state championship...finished third in the state championship meet in the 110-meter hurdles...also played football...two-year letterwinner.

    PERSONAL: Son of Herman and Aretha Mitchell...nickname is "Mitch"...has one older sister, Cydney...also has two younger brothers, Adam and Drew...currently undecided on a major...future career plans include working in the Office of Special Investigations...hobbies include anything that involves the outdoors...attended the Academy's Prep School...received the Most Improved Student Award after going from a 3.0 to 3.5 in three semesters...member of Cadet Squadron 39.
