A total of 30 men and 13 women comprised 43 of the Academy's 65 academic all-conference selections.
The meet will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Cadet Field House.
Paige Blackburn, Katie Carroll and Kimber Shealy claimed their fourth straight academic all-MW honors.
The men claimed an Academy-record 17 all-MW honors, while the women added a record six.
Jim Walmsley and Bryce Bergman each claimed two all-MW selections.
JUNIOR (2012): Recorded the second-highest heptathlon total and the fifth-highest decathlon total in Academy history...two-time all-conference selection...posted a heptathlon total of 5,402 points to place third at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...that total is ranked second on the program's all-time list...also recorded career-best marks in the 60-meter dash (7.09), 1000-meter run (2:51.35), high jump (6'4") and long jump (22'7¼") during the conference's heptathlon competition...marks in the 60-meter dash and long jump were ranked second on the team in 2012...also scored for the Falcons in the pole vault at the MW Indoor Championships, clearing a career-best 16'1¼" to finish seventh...collected a career-best 60-meter hurdles time of 7.73 (converted from a 55-meter course) at the Robert Shine Invitational...tallied a personal-best shot put mark of 42'2" at the Air Force Blue-Silver Open...finished second in the heptathlon at the Air Force Indoor Combined Events Meet (5,249)...won the event titles in the shot put and pole vault at that meet...was the runner-up in the pole vault at the Air Force All-Comers Meet (16'0¾")...became just the sixth Falcon to tally over 7000 points in the decathlon during the outdoor season...finished third at the MW Outdoor Championships with a career-best 7,158 points...that total is ranked fifth on the program's all-time list...tallied career-best marks in the 400-meter dash (50.89), long jump (23'0½") and javelin throw (181'3") at that meet, as well as season-best totals in the 1500-meter run (5:18.17, adjusted for altitude) and high jump (6'1½")...distance in the long jump was ranked second on the team in 2012...also qualified for the pole vault and javelin competitions during the MW Outdoor Championships...recorded career-best marks in the 110-meter hurdles (14.85) and pole vault (16'0¾") at the Front Range Classic...placed second in the hurdles at that meet, recording the team's second-fastest time of the season...clocked career-best 100-meter dash time of 11.23 at the Colorado Invitational...accounted for a personal-best shot put mark of 41'9¼" at the Air Force Relays...threw a career-best distance in the discus throw (139'10") at the Arizona State Invitational...finished second among collegiate competitors in the javelin throw (176'5") at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...ran on the 1600-meter sprint medley relay team (3:14.51) that won the Air Force Relays...also competed on the 4x110-meter shuttle hurdle relay (1:02.85) that finished second at that meet...academic all-conference selection.
SOPHOMORE (2011): Set Sophomore Class Record in the heptathlon (5,014)...also set an Academy decathlon event record in the discus throw...threw a 135'6" at the conference championship meet to shatter the program's 21-year-old event record by over five feet...two-time all-conference honoree...finished third in the heptathlon at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with career-best 5,014-point performance...moved into sixth on the program's all-time list with that score...tallied 7,017 points in the decathlon to finish second at the MWC Outdoor Championships...became just the sixth decathlete in program history to surpass the 7,000-point mark...that mark was a personal improvement by 200 points...won the decathlon discus throw (135'6") and pole vault (15'5¾") with career-best marks at the MWC Championships...also recorded personal-best marks in the 400-meter dash (52.82), 1500-meter run (4:47.82, adjusted for altitude) and high jump (6'4") at that meet...scored a then-career high 6,817 points to place fifth at the Mt. SAC Relays-California Invitational Multi-Events Meet...posted career-best marks in the 100-meter dash (11.40), 110-meter hurdles (15.60) and shot put (39'1¼") at that competition...recorded an outdoor best long jump distance of 21'2" to finish eighth at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational...that mark was the best on the team in 2011...also posted a season-best 163'5" in the javelin throw at UC Irvine...during the indoor season, recorded career-best (indoor) marks in the 60-meter dash (7.31), 1000-meter run (2:55.05), 60-meter hurdles (8.60), long jump (21'9") and shot put (40'7¾") during the conference championship meet...long jump mark was the best on the team...improved indoor high jump mark to 6'2" at the New Mexico Classic and Combined Events...finished seventh in the heptathlon (4,858 points) at that meet...recorded an indoor-best clearance of 15'1" to finish fifth in the pole vault at the Air Force Invitational.
FRESHMAN (2010): Set Freshman Class records in the heptathlon and decathlon...recorded a career-best heptathlon total of 4,697 points at the New Mexico Combined Events Meet...that is the eighth-best total in Academy history and a Class record...finished sixth at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with 4,621 points...member of the 4x400-meter relay team that won the Potts Invitational (3:48.96) during the indoor season...led the Falcons in the decathlon during the outdoor season with 6,475 points...placed fifth in the decathlon at the MWC Outdoor Championships with that score... that total is also a Freshman Class record...won the discus throw event in the conference decathlon with a distance of 122'3"...tallied 6,306 points in decathlon debut to finish second at the Mt. SAC-California Invitational Combined Events Meet...won the discus throw event at that meet with a throw of 127'10"...competed in the decathlon at the USATF Junior National Championships...forced to withdraw from competition with injury on the second day...was in eighth after the first day competition...academic all-conference selection.
