SOPHOMORE (2011): Recorded the fifth-best pole vault clearances in Academy history during both the indoor and outdoor seasons...cleared 12'6¾" at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational to move into fifth on the outdoor list...finished fourth in the pole vault at that meet...recorded a height of 12'5½" at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships to move into fifth on the indoor list...won the pole vault during the outdoor season at the Front Range Classic (11'11¾")...also won that event at the CSU-Pueblo Invitational (11'9¾")...claimed top-10 finishes in five additional meets...recorded an indoor best finish of third at the Robert Shine Invitational (11'6¼")...competed in the 60-meter dash (8.40), 200-meter dash (27.23) and long jump (15'7") at the Don Barrett Duals...long jump mark was ranked second on the team...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award once during the outdoor season. FRESHMAN (2010): Became the seventh Falcon to clear the 12-foot bar during the indoor season...cleared 12'1½" at the New Mexico Classic...moved into sixth on the program's all-time list...also moved into sixth on the program's all-time outdoor list with a career-best height of 11'9"...recorded that mark at the Beach Invitational...finished second at the Military Championships with a clearance of 11'5¾"...also finished as the runner-up at the Colorado Invitational with a clearance of 11'3¾"...also claimed top-five finishes at the Tom Benich Classic (outdoor) and Air Force All-Comers Meet (indoor)...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week once during the indoor season. HIGH SCHOOL: William Fremd High School...placed third in the pole vault at the Illinois 3A state championship meet as a senior...school record-holder in the pole vault (11'7") and 200-meter dash (25.2)...served as team captain during both junior and senior years...two-time recipient of the Most Outstanding Track and Field Athlete award (junior and senior years)...earned the Illinois High School Association MSL All-Academic Award...also received the All-Academic Senior Athlete Award...placed fourth against all male competition at the Illinois Prep Top Times Decathlon State Championship...AP Scholar...High Honor Roll...three-year member of the National Honor Society...voted Attorney General at Illini Girls State and went on to represent Illinois at Girls Nation during the summer of 2008.
