    2007: Earned all-conference honors as a member of the distance medley relay team...team finished second at the Mountain West Conference championships with a time of 9:53.29 (adjusted for altitude)...that time is also the seventh-fastest in Academy history...ran the opening leg of the 4x1600-meter relay team that posted the fifth-best time in program history...clocked a season-best time of 14:32.10 in the 5000-meter run at the Oregon Invitational...led the team during the indoor 3000-meter run (8:12.41) at the Husky Invitational...that time is ranked eighth in the all-time record book...clocked the team's second-fastest time in the mile run (4:09.52a) at the Air Force Invitational to finish fourth...earned the team's Track Athlete of the Week award twice during the indoor season...selected as co-captain for the 2008 season.

    2006: Clocked a season-best 5000-meter time of 15:17.31a at the Air Force Invitational...was the event runner-up in that event at the AFI...time was the fifth-best mark of the season...earned a fifth-place mark in that event at the Adidas Classic...also ran the mile (4:27.84a) and 3000-meter run (8:33.02a)...third on the team in the 5000-meter run during the outdoor season...clocked a season-best time of 14:53.80 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

    2005: Did not compete as a freshman.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Finished fifth at the Missouri state cross country meet...also placed fifth in the 3200-meter run at the Missouri state track and field championships...recorded a career-best time of 9:24 in the 3200-meter run.

    PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Cindy McFarland...has one sister Kitty and one brother Adam...majoring in civil engineering...hopes to fly helicopters in the future...enjoys spending time outdoors...named to the academic all-conference team as a junior...member of the Air Force cross country team...earned all-conference and all-region honors as a senior.
