SOPHOMORE (2008): Recorded a pole vault clearance of 14'9" at the Willie Williams Classic...that mark was tied for the third-best clearance of the season...posted an indoor season-best clearance of 14'5¼" at the Air Force Invitational. FRESHMAN (2007): Competed in the pole vault during the indoor season, including the Mountain West Conference championships...recorded a career-best indoor height of 15'3¼" at the Air Force Invitational to tie for second...picked up a 10th-place finish in season debut at the Air Force Open (14'1¾"). HIGH SCHOOL: Set school record in the pole vault at 15'7"...that mark also set a new record in the Southwestern League...won the pole vault at the Southern Section Division I as a junior...placed fourth in the Southern Section Division I Meet and competed at the California state championships as a sophomore. PERSONAL: Son of Tim and Katie McDowell and Mike and Karen Bolton...has three siblings - Ryan, Taylor and Morgan...majoring in history...plans on becoming a pilot following graduation...hobbies include watching movies and reading. |
