SOPHOMORE (2012): Did not compete.

FRESHMAN (2011): Debuted in the Academy record book for both the indoor and outdoor shot put events...recorded the fifth-best indoor shot put distance in Academy history at the Air Force Invitational...tossed a 45'4½" to finish fifth...that throw was ranked second on the team...threw a 44'2" during the outdoor season to rank seventh on the program's all-time list...used that throw to finish third at the Colorado Invitational...also placed third in the indoor shot put at the Robert Shine Invitational (45'3¾")...collected top-five indoor finishes at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational and Don Barrett Duals...competed in the weight throw during the indoor season...tossed a career-best 48'0" at the Don Barrett Duals...earned the team's Newcomer of the Week award twice during the indoor season...also claimed the honor once during the outdoor season.

HIGH SCHOOL: St. Joseph High School...varsity track and field athlete...served as captain of the throw team as a senior...earned five Southern California Section CIF Championships...competed at the state meet during three of four years...placed in the top five during both junior and senior seasons...four-time Los Padres League champion in the shot put...also won league championship in the discus throw...also earned county and city championship titles...placed fifth at the Masters meet in Southern California...SJHS record holder in the shot put at 45'1"...also played on the varsity water polo team.

PERSONAL: Full name is TeresaMarie Loya...nickname is "T"...daughter of Roberto and Teresa Loya...has one younger sister, Amelia, and two younger brothers, Robert and Thomas...majoring in legal studies...future career plans include becoming a judge advocate general...member of Cadet Squadron 01.
