75 cadet-athletes earn Mountain West all-academic honors

The 75 honorees is the third most since the Falcons joined the MW in 1999-2000


Personal-Best Marks – Pole Vault: 16’4¾”

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016-17: Earned all-conference honors in the pole vault at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...matched career-best clearance of 16’4¾” to finish third at that meet...initially recorded that height at the Air Force Team Challenge...earned runner-up honors at the Air Force Collegiate Open (15’11¾”)...posted an outdoor-best clearance of 16’3¼” at the Michael Johnson Invitational...scored for the Falcons at the MW Outdoor Championships (seventh, 15’7¾”)...ranked third on the team during both seasons...academic all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: Queen Creek High School...won the pole vault at the Arizona Division II High School State Championships...posted a career-best clearance of 16’0”...also competed in football (three years) and volleyball (one year)...ranked fourth in graduating class with a 4.5 GPA.

PERSONAL: Full name is Logan Conner Grizzle...son of Jeff and Sabine Grizzle...has one older brother and one younger sister...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a pilot...hobbies include cars and sports...won Mr. Junior Dance America in 2011...both grandfathers – Robert Irwin (Army), Cecil Grizzle (Navy) – served in the military...member of Cadet Squadron 26.
