    Falcons Place 21 on MW Scholar-Athlete List

    The track and field team had 16 men and five women earn GPAs of 3.50 or higher.


    Program-Record 43 Named to Academic All-MW List

    A total of 30 men and 13 women comprised 43 of the Academy's 65 academic all-conference selections.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2012-13: Competed in the 400-meter hurdles during four outdoor meets...won the Air Force Twilight Open with a career-best time of 54.21...added two additional top-four finishes in that event...also ran on two 4x400-meter relays, including one that finished second at the Jerry Quiller Classic...competed in the 400-meter dash during three indoor meets...clocked a career-best time of 51.27 at the Air Force Team Challenge...also competed in the 500-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open (1:07.58)...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Pendleton Heights High School...two-time MVP of the track team...competed at the indoor state championships as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team...placed fifth and eighth at those two meets...also ran a leg of the 4x800-meter relay team that finished 13th at the state's outdoor championships...four-time semi-state qualifier in cross country...received the team's "Most Competitive Runner" award...also competed on the wrestling team...recorded a career record of 97-48...member of the show choir as a senior...received academic all-state honors in track, cross country and wrestling...named to the Top 10-percent...graduated 13th in a class of 265.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Jordan James McCool...son of Randall and Patricia McCool...both parents served in the Marine Corps (father, six years; mother, 10 years)...has one older brother, Chris, who is a 2011 Academy graduate...also has two younger siblings, Spencer and Madison...majoring in economics...earning a minor in French...future plans include becoming an intelligence officer...named to the Superintendent's List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance...served as Humane Society Cadet-in-Charge...hobbies include running, ultimate Frisbee, hiking, camping, music and singing...completed Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and the Jump program over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 11.
