FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015-16: Competed in the 800-meter run five times...clocked a career-best 1:54.59 (adjusted for altitude) to finish second at the Air Force Twilight Open...posted an indoor-best time of 1:54.88a (adjusted for track size) to win the Adams State Qualifier...added a top-five finish at the Air Force Open (fifth, 1:59.59a)...also ran the 400-meter dash twice.

HIGH SCHOOL: Liberty High School...varsity letter winner for both track and cross country...served as team captain...earned MVP honors in cross country as a senior...also earned the Most Improved (2014) and Most Dedicated (2015) awards in track...member of the school record-setting 4x800-meter relay team...set a record for longest nap in the bleachers during a track meet at five hours and 38 minutes...also played basketball...named the C-Squad’s MVP as a freshman...named Lancer of the Year...member of the National Honor Society...leader of the student cheer section...voted most likely to host a reality TV show...member of the Student Council...graduated with honors.

PERSONAL: Full name is John Sullivan Quinn...nickname is “Huckleberry Finn”...son of Matthew and Holly Quinn...father is a 1987 West Point graduate and former member of Army’s hockey team...has one older brother, Stephen, who graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2012...also has two sisters, Sarah and Hannah...majoring in management...future plans include owning a private island to breed exotic birds and to hide Bigfoot...hobbies include eating, sleeping, landing on free parking in Monopoly, spending time with friends and family, paying with exact change, calling his dad and “dodging, ducking, dipping, diving and dodging”...semi-professional animal whisperer...propelled scholastic abilities to new, profound heights over the summer, while also becoming an advanced outdoor survivalist...favorite quote is “Have you ever had a dream?
