    Program-Best 23 Falcons Qualify to NCAA Outdoor Championships

    Air Force qualified mulitple athletes in seven events.

    JUNIOR YEAR | 2012-13: Became just the eighth Air Force thrower to surpass the 190-foot mark in the hammer throw...tossed a career-best 192'6" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...that mark is tied for the sixth-best distance in Academy history...competed in that event at the NCAA West Preliminary (182'9", 35th)...scored for the Falcons in the hammer throw at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, finishing eighth with a toss of 178'11"...also competed in the discus throw during five meets...recorded a season-best distance of 143'7" at the Jerry Quiller Classic...received "Standout" distinction from the team twice during the outdoor season...recorded a career-best toss of 60'7¾" to finish second in the weight throw at the Joe Davies Open...that mark is ranked fourth on the program's all-time list...also finished second in that event at the Air Force Holiday Open (58'9¼")...competed in both throwing events at the MW Indoor Championships, finishing ninth in the weight throw (57'9¾") and 13th in the shot put (44'11").

    SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2011-12: Recorded the second-farthest throw in Academy history in the weight throw...threw a 60'3¾" to finish third at the Robert Shine Invitational...became just the fourth Falcon to surpass the 60-foot mark...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award following that meet...claimed four additional top-five finishes in the weight throw...also competed in the shot put during three indoor meets...tossed a career-best 45'0½" during a top-10 performance at the Air Force All-Comers Meet...participated in the hammer throw and discus throw during the outdoor season...recorded season-best marks in both events at the Colorado Invitational...tossed a 179'7" to finish third in the hammer throw at that meet...placed ninth in the discus throw at Colorado with a mark of 151'6"...was the runner-up in the hammer throw (168'6") at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2010-11: Set the Freshman Class Record in the weight throw...threw a 54'9½" at the Air Force Invitational...finished sixth at that meet in the weight throw...that distance was the second-best throw on the team...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award following that meet...also competed in the shot put during the indoor season...tossed a career-best 43'5¾" at the Robert Shine Invitational...competed in the hammer throw, discus throw and shot put during the outdoor season...recorded career-best marks in all three at the CSU-Pueblo Invitational...tossed 162'2½" in the hammer throw, 40'7" (outdoor-best) in the shot put and 132'10¼" in the discus throw...claimed top-five finishes in the hammer at CSU-Pueblo, the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational and the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Marietta High School...lettered three years in varsity track and field...named Most Valuable Thrower in track...all-state in the shot put (52'4")...honorable mention all-state selection in the discus throw (164'11")...also competed in the weight throw and hammer throw...competed for "Throw 1 Deep" Track Club...placed 15th in the weight throw at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships...also competed at the Nike Indoor Nationals and New Balance Outdoor Nationals...lettered one year in varsity football...received the Defensive Coaches' award...received the Scholar-Athlete Award for both track and football...voted Mr. Marietta High School...graduated with honors.
