    2003: Placed fifth in the high jump at the MWC Indoor Championships…tied for fourth in the event at the conference's outdoor championships.

    2002: Placed fifth at the MWC Indoor Championships in the high jump with a 6'4¾"…tied for sixth at the MWC Outdoor Championships in the event with a 6'4½"…won high jump at the indoor quadrangular against Arizona, Stanford and Colorado State…earned the "Clutch Performance" weekly award for his 6'7½" personal record at Indiana…named to the academic all-MWC team.

    2001: Placed third in high jump (6'6¾") at the MWC Indoor Championships… matched the best indoor jump of the season…tied for second at the MWC Outdoor Championships in the high jump (6'4¾")…finished eighth at the championship in triple jump (41'7¼")...named to academic all-MWC team.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in track four years, basketball two years and football one year…was county and league champion in high jump during senior season…selected to all-area first-team.

    PERSONAL: Member of high school National Honor Society… earned Academic Excellence Award all four years in high school…parents are Patrick and Mary Hughes…Born July 16, 1981.
