FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016-17: Debuted in fifth on the Academy’s all-time standings in the outdoor high jump...recorded a career-best clearance of 5’7” to place third at the Air Force Twilight Open...tied for second in that event at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (5’5¾”)...registered an indoor-best clearance of 5’6” during a runner-up finish at the Adams State Qualifier...received the team’s Field Athlete of the Week award after that meet...added top-five finishes at the Air Force Collegiate Open (third, 5’4¼”), Potts Invitational (fifth, 5’5¼”) and Air Force Holiday Open (fifth, 5’1”) during the indoor season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Boerne Champion High School...won the high jump at the Texas 5A High School State Championships as a junior...finished second in that event as a senior...also played on the basketball team...earned first-team all-district honors in 2016...member of the National Honor Society...ranked within the top-10 percent of graduating class.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Karl and Penny Borgerding...has two younger brothers and one younger sister...majoring in economics...earning a minor in Spanish...future plans include becoming a pilot...served as PEER and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Clerk for squadron...hobbies include tanning and reading...family raises foster horses and salamanders...completed Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and the Academy’s soaring program over the summer...also traveled to Fiji on a family vacation...member of Cadet Squadron 20.
