Pole Vault

2007: Set the Sophomore Class pole vault record...cleared 11'7¾" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational to win the event...that height is tied for third on the Academy's all-time record book...set the Sophomore Class record three times during the outdoor season...finished second at the Potts Invitational (11'1") and again at the Rob Upton Invitational (11'3¾")...was a scoring finisher for the Falcons at the Military Classic, finishing fourth...cleared an indoor season-best mark of 10'11¾" at the Air Force Invitational to finish eighth.

2006: Earned the team's Newcomer of the Year award...cracked the Academy's all-time pole vault records during both the indoor and outdoor seasons...moved into fifth on the all-time indoor list after clearing 10'11¾" at the Pole Vault Summit...finished sixth at that meet...vaulted into fourth on the all-time outdoor list with a mark of 10'8" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...finished fourth at that meet...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award following the Jack Christiansen Invitational.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jack and Deborah Fryling...has one older sister, Melissa Charles...a biochemistry major...future plans include attending medical school...hobbies include snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing, rafting, camping and dancing...attended the Academy's Prep School.
