Personal-Best Marks
Javelin Throw: 190'4"

JUNIOR YEAR | 2015-16: Competed in the javelin throw six times...scored for the Falcons at the Mountain West Championships by finishing fifth (185'10")...helped Air Force claim four of the top-five finishes in that event at the conference meet...recorded a season-best throw of 188'10" at the Air Force Twilight Open (fourth)... academic all-conference selection.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2014-15: Competed in the javelin during six meets, including the conference meet...recorded a career-best distance of 190'4" to finish second at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award after that meet...added a top-three finish at the Air Force Twilight Open (third, 186'9")...improved career distance in the javelin by over 30 feet during the season...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2013-14: Competed in six different events...recorded career-best distances in the discus (117'8" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational), javelin (169'1" at the Air Force Twilight Open) and long jump (20'7¼" at the Ward Haylett Invitational) during the outdoor season...also competed in the long jump during the indoor season, posting a top mark of 20'2¼" at the Air Force Invitational...also made only appearance of the season in the 60-meter hurdles (8.92) at that meet...added a career-best shot put distance of 40'5½" at the Rocky Mountain Classic...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Brentwood High School...two-time Indoor Track and Field All-American in the pentathlon...finished second at the 2012 New Balance Indoor Nationals and fourth at the 2013 championships...also competed in the pentathlon at the 2011 New Balance Indoor Nationals, finishing 18th...finished second in the decathlon that year at the National Club Championships...2012 Tennessee AAA state champion in the pole vault...runner-up in the decathlon and pole vault at the 2011 state championship meet...set the BHS record in the pole vault...received the AP Scholar Award.

PERSONAL: Full name is Eric William Hoff...nicknames are "E" and "Sound"...son of Steve and Cathy Hoff...father was a member of the track and field team (400-meter hurdles) at the University of Minnesota...has three siblings...majoring in aeronautical engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot...served as Flight Commander...hobbies include playing guitar and piano, spending time with friends and family and taking long walks on the beach...grandfather served in the Army...completed the Academy's Powered Flight Program over the summer...also worked Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET)...member of Cadet Squadron 11.
