    Team captain ...

    SOPHOMORE (2010): Set Academy record in the weight throw...tossed a 61'1½" at the New Mexico Classic...that throw is also a new Sophomore Class record...became the third Air Force thrower to surpass the 60-foot mark in that event...won the weight throw on three occasions (Air Force All-Comers Meet, adidas Classic and Don Barrett Duals)...was also the top collegiate finisher in that event at the Air Force Invitational...placed fourth in the weight throw at the MWC Championships...posted a career-best distance of 51'10½" in the indoor shot put at the Air Force Invitational...qualified to the NCAA Semifinals in the hammer throw...entered the meet ranked 41st, regionally, with a season-best throw of 187'1"...recorded that distance in a winning effort at the Front Range Classic...finished third in the hammer throw at the Military Championships (175'8")...placed fourth at the MWC Championships with a throw of 185'10"...recorded a season-best throw of 52'8¼" in the shot put at the Front Range Classic...tossed a career-best distance of 160'4" in the discus throw at the Sun Angel Classic...claimed first-place honors in the shot put and hammer throw at the George Mason Invitational...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award twice during the indoor season...also claimed the honor twice during the outdoor season...named the Academy's Athlete of the Week following the George Mason Invitational...received the team's Laura Piper Ironman Award.

    FRESHMAN (2009): Shared the program's Newcomer of the Year award...NCAA Regional qualifier in the hammer throw...all-conference selection in that event...placed third at the MWC Championships with a personal-best throw of 187'7"...that distance is the seventh-best throw in Academy history...placed 16th at the regional meet with a toss of 177'9"...finished 14th in the hammer throw (187'0") at the USTF Junior National Championships...also paced the team in the shot put with a toss of 49'7¼" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...led the team in the indoor shot put with a toss of 50'10¼" at the conference championships...placed seventh at that meet...recorded a season-best weight throw mark of 54'6" at the Robert Shine Invitational...that mark is a Freshman Class record...academic all-conference selection...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award on two occasions...competed in the hammer throw at the USATF Junior Nationals.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Great SouthwestClassic runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 182'10"...it was only the second time of ever competing in that event...Nevada state meet runner-up in the shot put...placed fifth in the discus throw...had best marks of 56'11½" in the shot put and 156'2"in the discus throw...ranked 25th in the United States as a senior.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Robert J-T Drye...majoring in civil engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot or civil engineer...served as Global Engagement Element Leader, Squadron Element NCO, Combat Survival Training Base Flight NCO, Squadron Element Leader and FERL Commander...earned fifth kyû (rank) in Aikido...spent the summer traveling to Hurlburt Field, Pensacola, Tyndall AFB and Eglin AFB for CE Ops...also went through Field Engineering Readiness Laboratory (FERL) and served as Base Flight NCO during Combat Survival Training...member of Cadet Squadron 13.
