    JUNIOR (2011): Earned the team's Most Outstanding Competitor award...set two Academy records...Mountain West Conference champion in the hammer throw...set Academy record of 209'11", en route to winning the program's first-ever conference championship in the hammer...defeated the nation's 15th-ranked thrower at that meet...all-conference honoree...one of just two throwers in Academy history to surpass the 200-foot distance in the hammer throw...set the program's Junior Class Record...finished 14th in the NCAA national semifinals (202'1")...won the hammer throw at the Front Range Classic (194'10") and UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational (202'11")...also finished second in the shot put and fifth in the discus throw at UC Irvine...named MWC Athlete of the Week following that meet...posted outdoor-best marks in the shot put (53'10¼") and discus throw (165'6") at the conference championship meet...scored for the Falcons in the two events, placing fifth in the shot and sixth in the discus...also collected top-five finishes in the shot put at the Front Range Classic and Stanford Invitational...broke own Academy record in the weight throw at the New Mexico Classic...tossed a 62'3" to finish second at that meet...that mark is a Junior Class Record...finished second in the weight throw at the Robert Shine Invitational, Air Force Invitational and Nebraska adidas Invitational...scored for the Falcons in that event at the MWC Indoor Championships with a fifth-place finish (60'7¾")...all-conference honoree in the shot put...finished third at the conference meet with a throw of 54'11¼"...moved into fifth on the Academy's all-time list in the indoor shot put with a career-best 55'2¾" at the Don Barrett Duals...was the runner-up at the Robert Shine Invitational and finished third in the Don Barrett Duals...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award once during the indoor season and once during the outdoor season...served as team captain.

    SOPHOMORE (2010): Set Academy record in the weight throw...tossed a 61'1½" at the New Mexico Classic...that throw is also a new Sophomore Class record...became the third Air Force thrower to surpass the 60-foot mark in that event...won the weight throw on three occasions (Air Force All-Comers Meet, adidas Classic and Don Barrett Duals)...was also the top collegiate finisher in that event at the Air Force Invitational...placed fourth in the weight throw at the MWC Championships...posted a career-best distance of 51'10½" in the indoor shot put at the Air Force Invitational...qualified to the NCAA Semifinals in the hammer throw...entered the meet ranked 41st, regionally, with a season-best throw of 187'1"...recorded that distance in a winning effort at the Front Range Classic...finished third in the hammer throw at the Military Championships (175'8")...placed fourth at the MWC Championships with a throw of 185'10"...recorded a season-best throw of 52'8¼" in the shot put at the Front Range Classic...tossed a career-best distance of 160'4" in the discus throw at the Sun Angel Classic...claimed first-place honors in the shot put and hammer throw at the George Mason Invitational...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award twice during the indoor season...also claimed the honor twice during the outdoor season...named the Academy's Athlete of the Week following the George Mason Invitational...received the team's Laura Piper Ironman Award.

    FRESHMAN (2009): Shared the program's Newcomer of the Year award...NCAA Regional qualifier in the hammer throw...all-conference selection in that event...placed third at the MWC Championships with a personal-best throw of 187'7"...that distance is the seventh-best throw in Academy history...placed 16th at the regional meet with a toss of 177'9"...finished 14th in the hammer throw (187'0") at the USTF Junior National Championships...also paced the team in the shot put with a toss of 49'7¼" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...led the team in the indoor shot put with a toss of 50'10¼" at the conference championships...placed seventh at that meet...recorded a season-best weight throw mark of 54'6" at the Robert Shine Invitational...that mark is a Freshman Class record...academic all-conference selection...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award on two occasions...competed in the hammer throw at the USATF Junior Nationals.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Shadow Ridge High School...Great Southwest Classic runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 182'10"...it was only the second time of ever competing in that event...Nevada state meet runner-up in the shot put...placed fifth in the discus throw...had best marks of 56'11½" in the shot put and 156'2" in the discus throw...ranked 25th in the United States as a senior.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Robert J-T Drye...nickname is Rob...majoring in civil engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot...served as CS-13 Chief of Safety (Fall 2011), FERL Commander (Summer 2011), CS-13 First Sergeant (Spring 2011), CS-13 B-2 Element Leader (Fall 2010), Combat Survival Training Base Flight NCO (Summer 2010), CS-13 B-2 Element NCO (Fall 2009) and Global Engagement Element Leader (Summer 2009)...earned fifth kyû (rank) in Aikido...hobbies include outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and shooting...served as the Field Engineering Readiness Lab (FERL) Commander during the summer...also went through the Powered Flight Program and soloed a T-52A...member of Cadet Squadron 13.
