FRESHMAN (2009): Shared the program's Newcomer of the Year award...qualified to the NCAA Regional Championships in the javelin throw...all-conference selection in that event...posted a team-best third-place distance of 151'4" at that meet...that mark is a Freshman Class record and the fifth-best throw in Academy history...placed 16th at the regional championship meet with a throw of 132'3"...placed 14th in the javelin throw (127'11") at the USTF Junior National Championships...also threw a career-best 46'8¼" in the shot put and a 146'7" in the discus throw at that meet...that shot put distance is the second-best of the season and the third-best in Academy history...the distance in the discus throw is the 10th-best in the program record book...finished within the top-five of the javelin (second), discus (third) and shot put (fifth) at the Missouri Tom Botts Invitational...posted a season-best indoor shot put of 45'7¼" to finish sixth at the conference championships...that distance was the second-best on the team...academic all-conference selection...earned the program's Field Athlete of the Week award on two occasions.
