FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016-17: Impacted the Academy record book in the hurdle events during both the indoor and outdoor seasons...registered the program’s sixth-fastest 60-meter hurdles during an 8.96-performance at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...also ran on the 4x400-meter relay that posted the sixth-fastest time in Academy history (3:52.99) at that meet...recorded the eighth-fastest 100-meter hurdles time in Academy history (14.71) at the Michael Johnson Invitational...clocked a wind-aided time of 14.60 to finish third at the Air Force Twilight Open...led off the 4x100-meter relay that clocked the fourth-fastest time in Academy history (47.71) at the Air Force Twilight Open...also ran the opening leg of the relay that scored for the Falcons at the MW Outdoor Championships (seventh, 48.24)...earned the team’s Track Athlete of the Week award three times.

PERSONAL: Full name is Ashley Ymani Cameron...daughter of Winston and Nivla Cameron...father retired from the Army as an E7...has two older sisters – Ayana, a 2014 Academy graduate, and Lakesha, a sprinter for the Houston Baptist track and field team...majoring in behavioral science...future plans include attending medical school or becoming a pilot...attended the Academy’s Prep School...served as Squadron Commander for Charlie...hobbies include cooking and poetry...has Jamaican heritage...born in Colorado Springs...completed Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) over the summer...also took an academic class (Chemistry 200) and traveled home during leave...member of Cadet Squadron 22.
