No. 6 Air Force to open 2017 against No. 5 Alaska and No. 7 Ohio State

  • U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Oct. 11: The No. 6 Air Force rifle team opens 2017 with a road trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, to shoot a match against No. 5 Alaska and No. 7 Ohio State, Fri.-Sun., Oct. 13-15.

    Friday, Oct. 13, the match against both the Air Force Falcons and the Ohio State Buckeyes is the Alaska Nanooks official rifle opener. The three teams will match up at the Tanana Valley Sportsman’s Association in Fairbanks.

    On Saturday, Oct. 14, the Nanooks and Buckeyes will compete, before the Falcons face off against Alaska on Sunday, Oct. 15. Both the Saturday and Sunday matches will take place at the E.F. Horton Rifle Range in the Patty Center.

    The NCAA collegiate rankings were released on Tuesday, Oct. 10, by the College Rifle Coaches Association.
