Sophomore Christopher Hills is the 2005 Most Valuable Cadet in Marksmanship. Hill earned his second NCAA/NRA All-America award (second team). Hill shot a personal best 586/600, which tied a school record. At the NCAA qualifying match, Hill shot a perfect 200/200 in the prone position to lead all shooters in the event. Although he faltered in the following standing position competition with a 186/200, he followed up with an impressive 198/200 in the kneeling position, earning a silver medal with an aggregate score of 584/600.
