TYLER RICO MOVES TO THIRD AFTER DAY 2 OF NJOSC

    U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. (April 16) - After the completion of day 2 of the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships (NJOSC) at the US Olympic Shooting Center (USOSC) in Colorado Springs, the Academy's Tyler Rico (Tucson, Ariz.) moved into third place in the men's air rifle championships with 1177 overall points. On Tuesday, Rico shot a 583. He had a 594 on Monday and was the day's top competitor.

    Teammates David Higgins (Camp Pendleton, Calif.) finished ninth with 1168 overall points for both days. On Tuesday, he scored a 584 and had a 584 in Monday's match. Craig O'Daniel (Lebanon, Ky.) shot a 580 today and a 585 on Monday. He finished 13th overall with 1165 points.

    The NJOSC continues April 17-19 with the men's 3-Position Smallbore Championships at the USOSC.
