2014 National Junior Olympic Championships

    U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Air Force shooters begin women's and men's rifle competitions in the 2014 National Junior Olympic Championships this week and next at the Olympic Shooting Center in Colorado Springs, April 16-26. Air Force freshman Mary Simonton will compete in the 10m Air Rifle Women's Championships on April 16. The Air Force men Tyler Rico, David Higgins and Ryan Jacobswill compete in the 10 Air Rifle on April 22 and the 50m Three Position on April 24-26.

    For the first time in the history of the National Junior Olympics, all competitors will shoot on electronic targets. USA Shooting underwent a massive range upgrade to improve lighting and enhance the spectator experience by incorporating more than 70 new electronic targets and all competition can be viewed live via our YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIWou5VshRKR6Q8-tMN8tynqsDg95y1z1.

      • 10m Air Rifle Women Start List
        12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, Relay 1, Match 1
        Mary Simonton (Downstairs)
    • 50m Three Position Men Start List
      12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, Match 1, Relay 1
      Tyler Rico (Downstairs)
      David Higgins (Upstairs)
