U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - The NCAA Men's and Women's rifle Committee announced today the teams and individual qualifiers for the 2014 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Rifle Championships. Among the individual selectees was Air Force junior Meredith Carpentier(Waukegan, Ill.) (CS35).

"It is an honor and a privilege to represent USAFA at the NCAA Championships. That being said, rifle is a team sport made of individual efforts and it won't be the same competing without my team. I am confident that my amazing teammates will be joining me at NCAAs next year," said Carpentier.
The Air Force junior will compete individually in air rifle along with Jessica Cobb and Dacotah Faught from the University of Tennessee-Martin, and Alison Weisz from the University of Mississippi.
The team qualifiers in smallbore three-position and air rifle are the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Jacksonville State University, University of Kentucky, University of Memphis, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, TCU, Army and West Virginia University.
Individual qualifiers for smallbore three-position are Deanna Binnie from Ohio State and Ethan Cole from Morehead State. Kelsey Emme from Murray State and Amanda Luoma, OSU, are the individual qualifiers in smallbore three-position and air rifle.
According to the NCAA, individual and team competitions in smallbore three-position (60 shots) will be held on Friday, March 14. Individual and team competitions in air rifle (60 shots) will be held on Saturday, March 15.
