Air Force Rifleman Qualifies for the 2004 NCAA Rifle Championships

    The NCAA Men's and Women's Rifle Committee announced the team and individual qualifiers for the 2004 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Rifle Championships. Air Force shooter, Chris Hill qualified in the smallbore three-position. Hill is one of 14 other shooters who qualified in the event. Hill is a sophomore from Griffin, Ga., and has been the Academy's top shooter throughout the regular season.

    "Individual competitions in smallbore three-position (120 shots) and air rifle (40 shots) will be held Friday, March 12. Team competitions in smallbore rifle three-position and air rifle will be held Saturday, March 13. The overall team champion will be determined by combining the smallbore and air rifle team totals into one aggregate score for each institution," according to the NCAA.

    The Academy's regular season concludes this weekend in a two-day match against the University of Nevada in Reno. The Wolf Pack was one of eight teams to qualify for the NCAA Rifle Championships in Murray, Ky., March 12-13.
