U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Air Force cadet-athlete Logan Ogden (Galway, N.Y.) is this week’s Air Force Rifle Athlete of the Week (Feb. 5). Following the match between Air Force, University of Alaska and UTEP on Friday, and the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships held at the Falcon Rifle Range over the weekend, Ogden was name athlete of the week.
After shooting in the Smallbore Championships on Feb. 3, Ogden helped to lead the Falcons in the match adding his 583 to the team’s 2309 second-place finish. His score qualified him for the Smallbore Finals match, where he finished in second place and earned all-conference honors. The next day, he fired a 593 and qualified for the Air Rifle Finals. He finished fourth in air rifle and earned all-conference in the gun. His cumulative score of 1176 ranked him third. Air Force ranked second overall in the PRC.
In the match against Alaska and UTEP on Feb. 2, Ogden led all Air Force shooters with a 580 in smallbore, 594 in air rifle and a cumulative 1174. The Falcons won the tri-team match 4684 – UAF 4670 – UTEP 4579.
This is Ogden’s second Athlete of the Week honor for the season (Dec. 4).
