    U. S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - The Academy's rifle team outscored the Nevada-Reno rifle team in a dual match on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the Academy's Falcon Rifle Range. The Falcons now 17-3 and ranked seventh in the College Rifle Coaches Association Poll (Jan. 29) won the match 4636-4601. Sophomore Meredith Carpentier won the air rifle match outright with a score of 591/600, a personal high score, while freshman David Higgins was the runner up with 588/600 points.

    In the team scoring, the Air Force small bore team totaled 2283 points to Reno's 2282 points. In the air rifle, Air Force was 2353 to 2319 with Reno. Clif Little from Reno won the small bore match (576).

    The Falcons are now on a 12-game win streak. Air Force hosts UTEP on Feb. 9 at the Falcon Rifle Range.
