Rifle team suffers loss to Nebraska

USAF Academy, Colo. - The Air Force Academy rifle team lost, 4499-4619, to Nebraska on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Cadet Gymnasium rifle range. The Falcons scored 2301 points in air rifle and 2198 points in smallbore. The Falcons' top shooters were Tom Chandler who scored a 581/600 and a personal best in air rifle. Brian Jarrell shot a personal best 582 in the air rifle. Nebraska shot a 2347 in air rifle and 2272 in smallbore. Air Force is now 3-7 for the season. Personal-best scores were also achieved by Rachael Arthur who shot a 572/600 in air rifle. Joe Ritt shot a 565 and Robert Vasquez had a 566 in air rifle. In smallbore, Gray Thompson had a PR 525. Nebraska's top shooters were Amanda Jeffries with a 588/600 in air rifle, Ryann McGough, 588 air rifle, and Kim Chrostowski, who scored a 573 in smallbore and Christine Costello with a 574 smallbore score.
