Rifle team finished third in Saturday's match
    vs. UTEP; Reno

    On Saturday, the Academy's rifle team came in third against Nevada-Reno (4629) and UTEP (4549) with a score of 4512. The Falcons' top shooters in the match were freshman Tom Chandler (Oak Harbor, Wash.) who set a personal best in air rifle scoring 584/600. Also shooting PRs in the match were Jon Stephenson (Anchorage, Alaska) with a smallbore score of 576. In air rifle, freshman Joe Ritt (Ewa Beach, Hawaii) finished the day with a score of 583 in air rifle.

    In the team standings, Reno won the match with an aggregate score of 4629. UTEP followed with a 4549 and Air Force finished with a score of 4512. Reno scored 2337 in air rifle and 2292 in smallbore. UTEP finished with 2316 in air rifle and 2233 in smallbore. The Falcons scored 2302 in the air rifle event and 2210 in smallbore.
