Air Force rifleman sophomore Christopher Hill of Griffin, Ga., competed in the 2004 NCAA Rifle Championships in Murray, Ky., on Saturday. It was Hill's first NCAA appearance as an individual qualifier. Hill finished in 13th place in smallbore with an aggregate score of 1155. Hill fired a 396 in the prone, 368 standing and 391 in the kneeling positions.

Alaska-Fairbanks' Matthew Rawlings won the NCAA individual smallbore title in a tightly contested competition (1179), while Murray State senior Morgan Hicks won the NCAA individual air rifle title, firing a 398 out of a possible 400.
