The United States Junior World Championship rifle team comprised of Air Force Academy junior marksman Mike Seery, along with Jimmie Cooper (Columbus, Ga.) and Ryan Bender-Dunham (University of Alaska-Fairbanks) placed third in the 50m rifle prone men junior championships at the 50th ISSF World Championships in Munich, Germany, on August 1, 2010. Two Air Force Academy rifle team marksmen were selected as the Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the MWC office on June 30. Freshman Matthew Kluckman (San Antonio, TX) led the Falcons with a 3.98 GPA in Computer Science, while sophomore Patrick Everson (Eagle River, AK) averaged a 3.50 GPA in Electrical Engineering [+]

Air Force Academy junior marksman Mike Seery became the school's first men's USA Shooting Junior National 50-meter prone rifle champion this past week (June 14-16) in Fort Benning, Ga. Seery also qualified for the 2010 U.S. Junior World Championship Team in the prone event, which will be held in Munich, Germany, in August. [+]

Chandler named Most Valuable Cadet in Marksmanship (Rifle)

Junior Thomas Chandler was named the rifles team Most Valuable Cadet in Marksmanship. Chandler finished the season with a 2558.6 aggregate in the fall, winter and spring air gun championships and finished 13th at the 2009 Winter Air Gun Championships in December 2009. [+]

On February 28, 2010, the Academy's rifle team concluded the regular season at the Aloha Invitational Matches (AIM) in Honolulu, Hawaii.
