![]() Rifle Team Concluded Season at the Aloha Invitational in Hawaii3/11/2010-Rifle The Air Force Academy rifle team finished in second place against the University of Nevada and the University of Southern Florida at the Aloha Invitational Matches (AIM) in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday, Feb. 28. This was the final match of the 2010 regular season for the rifle team. AFA's Tom Chandler had a strong performance as he finished with the second-best aggregate match score of 1,168 and was the Falcons' top shooter in both qualifying matches. [+]Chandler AFA's highest scorer - rifle team swept three matches2/1/2010-Rifle Tom Chandler had Air Force's highest scores of the weekend in both the air rifle and smallbore events at The Citadel. The Falcons swept all three matches against North Carolina State and The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., Jan. 30-31, improving the team's season record to 6-9. Saturday's win was the team's best finish since competing in the President's Cup with an aggregate 4,626 in Nov. 2009. [+]Rifle team drops two matches to TCU1/19/2010-Rifle The rifle team lost two matches to TCU this weekend at the Air Force Academy rifle range. On Saturday, Jan. 16, Air Force lost 4656-4599. The team scored 2321 points in the air rifle and 2278 in the smallbore three-position matches.
