Fencing Team to Host Nick Toth Open
    Nick Toth Open, September 28 -- Cadet Gymnasium

    On Saturday, Sept 28 at 11 a.m., the Falcons will host the annual Nick Toth Open at the Cadet Gymnasium. Over 200 competitors are expected to compete in this prestigious tournament.

    The Falcons hosted the first tournament in January 1980. The event was named for head coach Nick Toth, who coached the Academy's fencing team from 1961 unitl 1981. While at the Academy, Toth established a combined men and women's, 200-23, coaching record from 1961-1981. The tournament has been held at the Academy, consecutively, since 1995. Last year, the tournament was cancelled due to world events of September 11. This year's event is expected to proceed without a hitch.
