Air Force Fencing Team Opens the New Season Hosting the Nick Toth Open
Sept. 2, 2010
The Air Force fencing team will host the 2010 Nick Toth Open at the Academy on Sept. 18-19. The Falcons, under the direction of head coach Abdel Salem, will welcome over 200 competitors. Due to construction of the Cadet Gymnasium's center gym, the event will move to the east gym. The Nick Toth Open is open to the public. The team's next home event is Nov. 6-7, when the Falcons host the annual Falcon Open in the east gym. On March 5, 2011, the fencing team will host the NCAA Western Regionals (UC San Diego, Stanford and CalTech). The last time the Falcons hosted the Regionals was 2006.
