Five Academy fencers were named MWC Scholar-Athlete
Five Academy fencers were named Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete for 2004-2005. Alison Freiman was the only female fencer to be named. Freiman is a Civil Engineering major with a 3.58 GPA. Also honored by the conference were Adam Schenk who is majoring in Physics (3.70 GPA), Christopher Baran who is a Legal Studies (3.66 GPA) major, and Samuel Bartron, History (3.67). Academy 2005 graduate, Oboho Edemumo, Aero Engineering, (3.71) was also honored by the MWC.
"I am very proud of our student-athletes," said head coach Abdel Salem. "That our cadets maintain high grade point averages throughout the semester, plus participate in sports is a tribute to the Academy's leaders and educators." The Academy had 28 student-athletes named 2004-2005 MWC Scholar-Athletes.
