    Trapani, Italy (April 11, 2003) -- Air Force fencer C4C Tim French finished 48th in men's épée at the 2003 World Under-20 Championships.

    French, an Austin, Texas native, lost his first direct elimination bout to Ahmed Nabil from Egypt (7-15) and finished 48th. In the U.S. Fencing rolling poll, French is now ranked sixth among juniors in men's épée.

    French is a 2003 All-American after finished eighth in the NCAA Men's and Women's Fencing Championships in March.
