Western Region Fencing Championships, March 5-6.

Air Force fencers head to San Diego for the 2005 Western Regional Championships on March 5-6. The Falcons' women's team is looking to earn its fourth consecutive championship. The team has been the regional champions since 2002 and looks forward to adding another notch in its championship belt. The Falcon men have two consecutive wins, 2002 and 2003. In 2004, the team finished second and hopes to return to the winner's circle this year.

Stanford University will host the event, March 5-6. Regional competitors include Stanford, UC San Diego, Cal Fullerton, Caltech and Air Force. The Stanford men's team is ranked 9th, while Air Force is No. 10 in the US Fencing Coaches' Association poll.
