Nelson also scored three wins against Temple.

The foil team of Lydia Hill, CJ Jung and Rachel Cranfill also had a good day, scoring an 8-1 victory versus the foils from North Carolina, giving the Air Force squad their only outright victory for the day.

Against their opponents, the women were 2-25 against Duke, 2-25 versus Penn State, 8-19 versus Temple, 9-18 versus Brandeis and 12-15 against North Carolina.

"I am proud of our teams, both the men and women gave their best this weekend to compete against some of best nationally ranked teams in the country," said Head coach Abdel Salem.

The women are now 3-8 and the men are 7-4 heading into regionals in March.

The Falcons will travel to the North American Cup Junior Olympics, Feb. 17-21, followed by the NCAA West Regions in Las Angeles on March 10-11.
