In their 2008 Olympic Preview Edition (July 27, 2008), Sports Illustrated has predicted former Air Force Academy fencer Seth Kelsey to win the bronze medal in the men's individual epee competition at the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Kelsey, a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and a member of the World Class Athlete Program since his graduation from the Academy in 2003, was also a member of the United States fencing team at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.

In addition, former AFA swimmer Eli Bremer, currently a reservist in the Air Force, will compete in the modern pentathlon at the Olympic Games, which begin August 8.
