Falcon Fencers Earn Three First Place Finishes at Amarillo Open
2015-2016: Finished sixth in the region with a 4-4 record ... took second place in the individual women’s foil competition at the Nick Toth Open ... traveled to Moody AFB for Operations Air Force over the summer shadowing an intelligence officer ... took several C-130 incentive rides ... worked as a cadet intel officer for ESET (the Academy’s survival training program) training and briefing cadets on PR SPINS and global political situations ... on the commandant’s list.
2014-15: 2014, finished 12th in senior women’s epee at the Parker Kickoff … eighth place in senior women’s and ninth place in juniors (U20) at the Amarillo Open … in college duals, she had a 67-74 career record … competed in the Brandeis Invite, finished 5-13 … Western Invitational (9-9) … Northwestern Duals II (19-21) … eighth in the West Region (3-7).
2013-14: Record was 31-24 … at the Nick Toth Open, finished seventh in both juniors and seniors foil … Amarillo Open, finished fifth in seniors and 14th in mixed seniors … tied for third in juniors at the Falcon Open … college record came from Brandeis (8-10), Western Invitational (11-3) and Duke (8-7) ... Colorado Cup, finished 15th in seniors ... fifth in West Region (4-4).
Before the Academy: Attended Caddo Magnet High School ... coach was Andy Shaw ... three varsity letters in fencing ... won state championship for women all three years ... National Honor Society, honor roll for three years.
