Finalist in several North American Cups … finalist in Summer Nationals/July Challenge … qualified for multiple cadet World Cup events … on the team (USA Team 2) that placed 4th in the World Cup in Klagenfurt, AUT … coached by Sergei Danilov, Andre Geva, Benoit Bouysette and Boyko Krastovitch.

Personal:  Member of cadet squadron 8 … son of Scott and Debbie Amsbaugh … has a younger sister, Charlotte … intends to major in military & strategic studies … future career plan is marine corps infantry officer … why I decided to come to the Academy: “I wanted to serve my country and challenge myself academically.  This seemed like the perfect place to do both and fencing is an added bonus.” … hobbies are weight lifting, reading, boxing and sleeping … began fencing at age nine … credits his mom as having the biggest influence on his sports career and is also his favorite role model … dream vacation spot is anywhere her is with good people … guilty pleasure is watching TV … something most people don’t know about him is that he meditates daily … most notable thing about his home town is that it’s the original home to Mardi Gras … enjoys listening to different things or different situations … favorite TV show is Archer … favorite movie is Pulp Fiction … favorite class subject is French … favorite athlete is James Harrison … favorite team is the Cleveland Browns … has a cat named Chunk Norris.
