Tom Strzalkowski joined the Air Force Academy fencing program as a volunteer coach in 2002. He is a 1995 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Arts, general arts and science degree.

Strzalkowski brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the fencing team. At Penn State, he was the team captain in 1993 and 1994. He is a three-time NCAA champion and a four-time All-American.

He was a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic fencing team. In 1994 and 1995, he competed on the World Championship teams and was a member of the gold medal team at the Pan-American Games.
