2016-17 (Freshman): Led team in wins, posting a 36-6 record ... went 10-2 at Duke Invitational ... went 26-4 at Northwestern Invite ... won both the senior and junior men's foil at Nick Toth Open ... 43rd at November Junior NAC, 56th at January NAC in junior foil ... 131st at October NAC in men's foil.

Before the Academy:
Competed for Naples Fencing Academy … coached by German Paz … 2013 U.S. Cadet National Team, top 8 in Budapest, Hungary World Cup … Top 32 Cabries, France World Cup … 2014 NAC, Cadet Men’s Foil top 8 finish … qualified for the Div. I men’s foil championship in 2015 and 2016.

Personal:  Member of cadet squadron 5 … son of Johnn and Diana Griffith … has two brothers … brother, Johnny, is a junior at the Academy and a member of the USAFA rugby team … father competed in swimming and water polo in college … future career plans are to become a pilot … why I decided to come to the Academy: “I have always wanted to serve in the military. My father was a Navy pilot and later served in the Army as a dentist, so I was exposed to the military for all of my life. I came to the Academy so that I can become an exemplary officer in the United States Air Force, to serve and give back to the greatest country in the world. I am honored to be a part of the fencing team and I look forward to representing Air Force on the piste.” … hobbies are spending time with friends, jet skiing, fishing and being at the beach … began fencing at age 12 … credits his former fencing coaches, Randal Le Master and German Paz and his father as having the biggest influence on his sports career … pre-competition superstition is to wear a superhero compression shirt under his fencing jacket … dream vacation spot is Hawai’i beach house … guilty pleasure is playing X-Box … favorite role model is his brother, Johnny … something most people don’t know about him is that he is half Puertorican … most notable thing about his hometown is the beaches … enjoys listening to classic rock … favorite TV show is Tom & Jerry … favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan … favorite class subject is science … favorite athlete is Alex Massialis … favorite team is the San Antonio Spurs … would also like to include in his bio:  “I would like to express how grateful I am to my parents for their continuous support of my fencing career and for always encouraging me to follow my dreams.  Thank you for being my biggest fans!”
