Season Outlook 01/09/2012 WESTERN INVITATIONALAIR FORCE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS 10/30/2011 AFA FENCERS EARN NINE MEDALS2011 Falcon Open final results Kristin Huston joined the Air Force Academy's fencing program in 2011 as assistant coach. Huston, who earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology, graduated in 2002 from the Academy. A native of Mifflinburg, Penn., Kristin was a three-time varsity letter winner and fencing team captain at the Academy under Head Coach Abdel Salem. She returned to her alma mater after serving in the U.S. Air Force for nine years as a Cyberspace Operations officer. Her assignments included Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; McChord AFB, Wash.; and the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. In 2004, Kristin deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Captain Huston separated from the Air Force in June 2011. She and her husband, Major David Huston, reside in Colorado. The major is assigned to the Air Force Academy. |
