    FANTASTIC FOUR...FENCERS CONCLUDE NEW MEXICO OPEN

    Nathan Sorenson, Mary McElewee, Scott Pippin and Desirae Ionata take home gold

    2012-13: In 2012, she finished in sixth place in senior women's foil at the Amarillo Open ... also placed 14th overall in senior mixed foil ... also competed in the junior mixed foil division at the Amarillo Open, finished in sixth place ... at the Falcon Open ... finished in 18th place ... finished in third place in senior mixed epee at the New Mexico Open ... as the 2013 Notre Dame Dual, had a 3-0 record.

    Before the Academy: Graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco, CA ... coached by Scott Cunningham ... athletic awards include letter winner in fencing: fourth in All City Fencing Championships (2010-11); 1st place in All City Fencing Championships (2011-12); 7th place in All State Fencing Championships (2010-11) and 2011-12) ... hobbies are Taekwondo, playing saxophone and piano and writing.

    Academy: Aerospace Engineering ... wants to attend pilot training.
