    McElwee and Chiang AFA's top fencers at NAC D1/Jr.

    Nov. 9-12, Virginia Beach, Va.

    2012-13: Chiang won the senior men's foil champion title at the Nick Toth Open (15-2) ... Chiang, seeded No. 1 received a BYE to the top 16, where he won 15-3. He advanced to semi-finals 15-6 and won the semi round 15-8.

    2011-12: The Air Force newcomer from Atlanta, Ga., was the men's epee champion at the Nick Toth Open, Sept. 17-18. Chiang won the gold medal round, 15-13. Chiang advanced to the finals as the No. 1 seed and finished the day with five victories, 1.00 victory margin, 25 touches scored, 6 touches received, and a +19 identifier.

    Before the Academy: Fencing since he was nine years old ... fenced at the Athletic Club Northeast with coach Walid Mahran ... enjoys training during his downtime and doing school work ... wants to continue fencing after graduation ... currently a member of Cadet Squadron 15.
