
Air Force Concludes Day One at WAC Championships

HOUSTON, TX., - The Falcons close out the first day of competition at the Western Athletic Conference Championships, on Wednesday afternoon at CRWC Natatorium. Air Force sits at third with a score of 98.
The 800 freestyle relay team comprised of Joe Christ, James Winterfield, Tyler Surratt, and Camden Swigart notched a second-place finish with a time of 6:24.95, ten seconds faster than in 2024.
The Falcons placed sixth in the 200 medley relay swam by Garrett Kennedy, Bridon Rosales, Daniel Detjen, and Jacob Bulseco who clocked a time of 1:28.94.
On the diving side, Alex Kenyon finished with the best placement for Air Force, in sixth. The senior marked a score of 307.55 on the 3-meter springboard A final, earning 13 points for the Falcons.
Jack Roby (312.10) and Brady Nichol (289.80) both recorded career bests, and took ninth and tenth places in the B final.
The Falcons look to power ahead on day two of the WAC Championships on Thursday Feb. 27th, at 10:30 a.m. CT/9:30 a.m. MT.
