Kristen Cornett is in her second season as an athletic trainer for the Air Force track and field team. In addition to overseeing the Falcons' daily health and training needs, she also works with the Air Force cross country team.
Cornett came to the Academy in 2011 after spending one-and-a-half years as an athletic trainer at the Air Force Academy Prep School, where she worked with the women's sports.
Prior to her stint at the prep school, Cornett served as the head athletic trainer at a high school in Nicholasville, Ken., overseeing all 10 varsity sports. She has also worked with a high school in Daphne, Ala., in a clinical outreach setting, and served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Jacksonville State, while working towards her master's.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Cornett grew up in a military family, while her father served in the Army. She earned her bachelor's degree in physical education/athletic training from Eastern Kentucky University in 2000. She received her master's in education from Jacksonville State University in 2002.
