Kristen Cornett came to the Academy in 2011 after spending one-and-a-half years as an athletic trainer at the Air Force Academy Prep School, where she worked with the women's sports. At the Academy she is the athletic trainer for the Air Force men’s soccer team. In addition to overseeing the Falcons' daily health and training needs, she also works with the Air Force men’s tennis team. Prior to working with men’s soccer, Cornett worked with Air Force track and cross country for two years.
Prior to her stint at the prep school, Cornett served as the head athletic trainer at a high school in Nicholasville, Ken., overseeing all 10 varsity sports. She has also worked with a high school in Daphne, Ala., in a clinical outreach setting, and served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Jacksonville State, while working towards her master's.
She earned her bachelor's degree in physical education/athletic training from Eastern Kentucky University in 2000. She received her master's in education from Jacksonville State University in 2002.
