I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and safe Veteran's Day and send a message of thanks to all Veterans and their families for their service to this great nation.

We were so thrilled to host our service academy brother, the U.S. Military Academy, last Saturday at Falcon Stadium. We were honored to have ESPN's GameDay here to begin a week-long salute to Veterans across the nation. For them to select the Air Force-Army game to kickoff their tribute is a testament to the Academy, our outstanding young people and a wonderful opportunity to showcase the beauty and progressiveness of the Colorado Springs community.

We hope that honoring the wounded warriors, including a moment of silence to honor the men and women who were tragically lost at Fort Hood, the many soldiers lost from units at Fort Carson, and all the soldiers, sailors, airmen, coast guardsmen and marines serving at home and abroad defending our great nation, was meaningful.

I also want to thank all of those who contributed to the Third Annual Football Coaches Food Drive, as part of the Combined Federal Campaign. Through your generous donations, 7,800 pounds of food was collected, as well as nearly $5,000. These donations will help Care & Share provide nearly 30,000 meals to this community.

Thanks to all that attended the ESPN GameDay broadcast and the game, as we had a season-high in attendance, and fans watched two terrific programs battle it out. It was a great tribute to the young cadets at each institution who will soon be serving our great nation as officers in the military. A special thanks to you for your patience as the game ended and you were leaving the Academy. We are continually working to find ways to improve your game day experience and we will continue to work the traffic and parking issues at Falcon Stadium. It's still the greatest venue in college football.

Thanks for your continued support of Falcon Athletics.
