Coaches – (please send email to rob.clayton@usafa.edu with your swim team requests)

Thank you for considering the Falcon Swimming TEAM Camp. We are offering several weeks of the team camp this summer. The team camp allows you to train your athletes in a first-rate LCM facility @ the Air Force Academy, with training and technical input from AFA coaches.

    Falcon Swimming Team Training Camp

This camp is for coaches who are interested in bringing a team to train at our high altitude, world class facility.  There will be four 1 week sessions (June 11-17; 18-24; July 2-8, 9-15), and the camps will cost $50 per slot per week.   The camps will run from 6:30-9 AM Mon-Fri and 7-10 AM Sat.  Each team will need to reserve a minimum of 6 athlete slots and have at least 1 coach on deck at all times.  Each athlete and coach must be USA Swimming registered.  Each team can request a maximum of 48 training slots. Teams can use different swimmers to fill the slots on different days of the week.  Each session will consist of at least 30 minutes of dry land training conducted by AFA coaches in consultation with the private club coach.  Additionally, each team attending the camp will have 2 hours of LCM swim training time.  This training session will be conducted by the team coach.  AFA coaches will be on-deck at all sessions and available as a consultant for such services as video feedback, relay exchange feedback, or similar activities.  These camps can be customized to fit your team’s needs.

    About the Cadet Natatorium
This will be the first year the camps will be held in the newly refurbished Cadet Natatorium.  The facility, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, features all new bulkheads, starting blocks, scoreboards, and lighting.  The Natatorium facilities offer TIVO analysis, reaction time pads on the blocks, an adjacent state of the art dry land training room and more.  In addition to its high altitude location at 7200 feet, this is a world class facility matched by only a few in the country.
Teams will be assigned slots in each week of the TEAM training camp beginning in March.  Consideration will be given to each of the applications received at that point.  We will attempt to accommodate each coach’s wishes for training slots while allowing as many different teams to partake in the training camp as possible.
Thank you again for considering our TEAM camp this summer. We are confident it will be a rewarding and fun experience for your swimmers and will contribute to their future success in swimming.

    Sincerely
    Rob Clayton
